How To Sell Your Wedding Dress To Make Cash Fast
For a few months, I’ve been thinking of selling my used wedding dress. But why would I want to do that?
Well, It has been seating in a beautiful box for more than 3 years, and to be honest, I do not think somebody in my family will want to use it; besides I do not have a daughter.
Then, I asked myself why do not consider selling my beautiful Spanish style wedding gown; this way I will be helping a bride to save money on a beautiful wedding dress, and at the same time, I will be earning some cash.
Although I know I will not recover all the money paid for that dress, for sure I will get enough to buy something sweet for me. 🙂
I know for many women it is not easy to make this decision for sentimental reasons which I totally respect. But, since this is not my case and I guess I have valid reasons to sell my wedding gown, is that I did my homework looking for the best places where I can sell my wedding dress.

During my research, I found many different reasons why women decide to sell their bridal dresses; Below you can read some of them.
Why People Decide Selling Their Wedding Dresses (True Stories)
- “I spent a lot of money on my dress that after the wedding I want to recover some money back and use it on the honeymoon our some of the reception debts.”
- “I’ve decided to use the money for the baby that is coming after realize how expensive the babies are.”
- “Other women do it because they went through a divorce or broken engagement. I know, it’s sad, but it happens.”
- “Another interesting reason I found is that believe it or not you can recover up to %70 of what you paid! That’s what Tracy Dinunzio, the founder, and CEO of Tradesy.com said when visited the show Today.”
Dinunzio mentioned during her visit in the show that if we sell our dress in good conditions in the first 2 1/2 years of being bought, we could recover at least 50% of the retail price because the style is still popular. Amazing, right?
And that’s not all since she also mentioned that if your dress is from recognizable names like Vera Wang and Monique Lhuillier you can sell it for 60-70 percent of the retail value.

The way to do it is by visiting different stores and see how much they offer you for it.
